Peterborough Cathedral

You can visit this beautiful cathedral built between the 12th and 13th centuries with later additions. Visitors can admire the Gothic and Romanesque architecture with the stunning West Front, splendid fan vaulting, painted ceilings, sculptures, impressive chapels, arches in Romanesque style, and splendid high altar. The tomb of Catherine of Aragon lies here and the cathedral was also where Mary Queen of Scots was first buried, and you can book a guided tour and learn all about the cathedral’s history and architecture.
